Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Edward was my brother-in-law who suffered terribly from epilepsy for the majority  of his life and recently died as a result of it at the age of 50. Over the past 20 years he suffered from devastating drop attacks which resulted in terrible brain damage. However five years ago a new drug was found that stopped these drop attacks but unfortunately the damage was done and his mental ability deteriorated. Had this drug been made available years before then Edward would not have suffered the way in which he did. To help reserach into this illness and to help others like Edward live a normal, healthy life I will be doing a six day trek in Iceland averaging 6 hours a day to raise money for Epilepsy Research UK.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Epilepsy Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your support.
