Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.  I am running for St Wilfrid's Hospice, Eastbourne, because they cared for my father-in-law until his death from lung cancer last year.

Seven Truths about St Wilfrid’s Hospice:
• Only 15% of our income comes from the NHS. The remaining 85% is generated through donations and fundraising
• Our care is provided free of charge for everyone regardless of their income
• We care for patients with any illness that medical professionals have determined to be beyond the point of cure
• We care for everyone over the age of 18
• Our community stretches from Heathfield to Uckfield in the north and from Seaford to Pevensey in the south
• We care for many of our patients in their own homes through our Hospice at Home scheme
• We currently have just 10 beds and can only care for one in four people who need us – so please, Support Our Search for a new site to build a bigger purpose-built hospice

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne) Ltd gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me.  Thank you.
