The Ayrshire Hospice provides specialist palliative care to the community of Ayrshire. This care is provided by a multi-disciplinary team led by a Medical Director and includes In-Patient Care (20 beds), Day Care (16 places per day) and Specialist Palliative Homecare Nursing Team. Our services are provided at no cost to patients or families, but as a charity, we are heavily dependant upon voluntary donations to meet expenses.We currently require to raise, from voluntary sources, £3.2m per year.

My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page For The Ayrshire Hospice.

Chris Mcmail My MD recently completed a trek for the Hospice along the Great Wall of China, once back he signed up to trek Kilimanjaro, not being one to be left out I signed on as well. As most of you will know I'm not the fittest (fattest more like). So this is going to be a challenge on many fronts.

Nine months of dieting (no chocolate !!!!), gym and long walks lie ahead in preparation for this 10 day trek to the summit of the highest mountain in Africa next March!
