At Bluebell Wood, we care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions. We support hundreds of families, both in our hospice and in family homes. It costs around £6.5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive 16% Statutory funding.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Our event marks the one year anniversary of Ian's death. As many of you will know, Ian lost his battle to cancer in April last year, he fought hard and we all impressed and proud of him, but sadly it just wasn't possible for him to win.

Bluebell Wood and St John's hospice both provided invaluable support during this tough time, so we wanted to honour Ian's memory and thank the charities for their great work by starting the morning releasing some balloons with the children at Bluebell Wood and then by walking the 10miles between St John's Hospice and Ian's home. (We were going to walk between the St John's and Bluebell Wood but it was impossible terrain for wheelchairs!)

So please, just give what you can in memory of a wonderful father and an amazing husband; everything raised will be split 50/50 between both.
