Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Between Friday 11th and Monday 14th September 2009, I joined a small group of walkers to sample some of the challenging but beautiful South West Coastal Path from Hartland Point to Boscastle. Over those four days we ascended over 10,200 feet - that's twice the height of Ben Nevis. The views were brilliant, the weather matched them, our group was great company and we managed to get a few pints of Doombar and Dartmoor whilst we were going about things.
We're doing it to raise money for St. Richard's Hospice in Worcester which, for 25 years has helped cancer sufferers and their families cope with this devastating disease. The Hospice does amazing work which can only be appreciated by visiting it - and it relies almost entirely on donations and fund raising for its survival.
It is actually very nearly 25 years since my mum died from cancer. In that period, the memory of her suffering has not diminished and I have seen umpteen other families, friends from school and university, clients and work colleagues, do battle with the disease. Very few families are not affected so I do hope you will be able to donate something, however small, to support their work.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Richard's Hospice gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
