I’m A Banker Get Me Outta Here (2008)
A group of about 85 friends from various banking institutions are planning another weekend of support at the Little Haven’s Children Hospice nr. Southend-on-Sea, (2007 team pictured below)
From Saturday 8to Sunday 9 March 2008 we will spend 24 hours at Little Haven’s (sleeping at the grounds in a Marquee) offering support by doing work at the hospice as well as providing entertainment for the children and their families.
Some of the tasks that have been carried out in the past include:
· General maintenance and repairs in the Hospice buildings
· Gardening and tidying in the Hospice grounds
We also organise a party for the ill children and their siblings, this includes:
- Fancy dress costumes
- Face painting
- Clay modelling
The weekend in March 2008 will be the fourth event that we have hosted and we hope that it will be the biggest and best. In the three events to date we have raised approx £300,000 and hope to smash an additional £125,000 in 2008
Little Havens will be celebrating its 10 birthday in 2008 so help us to support the excellent work and care that they provide for all the ill children in the future..
