<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: #525252; font-size: 10pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">On August 7<sup>th</sup> 2011 I completed my first [sprint] triathlon: 400m swim, 20k bike ride and 5k run. I completed in 1 hour 56 minutes. </span></p>

I am no skinny Minnie.</span><span style="line-height: 140%; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: #525252; font-size: 10pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"> My thighs wobble, I mean really wobble [they smack together when I do star jumps!] and my arms flap when I wave. But I am a triathlete. I didn’t do this for boasting rights, or to stop the thigh wobble [although that would be nice]</span><span style="line-height: 140%; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: #1c1c1c; font-size: 10pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"> I did this to show that rape victims are not victims, they are survivors. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>And I am one of these survivors. </span><span style="line-height: 140%; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: #525252; font-size: 10pt;">My race number was fifteen, the age at which I was raped. I did not plan this, just a little *hi five* from the universe.</span><span style="line-height: 140%; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: #1c1c1c; font-size: 10pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 140%; margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; background: white; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="line-height: 140%; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">Sexual violence is not talked about, it makes <span style="color: #1c1c1c;">people feel uncomfortable and I get that, but we MUST talk about it, so that our daughters, girlfriends, sisters, partners and friends can support each other in education, safety and recovery.</span></span></p>

It is not tea and sympathy - it changed my life.</span></p>
