Story

Thank you for visiting our Iceland Highs and Lows donations page! Please take some time to visit our blog [http://icelandhighsandlows.blogspot.com] and read about the latest updates to the expedition.

In October this year, Jim and Ed are planning to cross Iceland's desolate interior, hiking unsupported from the north coast to south coast across 300 kilometres of rugged Icelandic terrain. If that wasn't enough, we're throwing in a detour to visit Iceland's highest mountain, Hvannadalshnúkur, so we can climb this glorious peak and stand on its summit.

All this will be in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, a fantastic and ambitious charity, and is in memory of Ed's late uncle Nick, who sadly passed away from stomach cancer in April this year. The expedition is also dedicated to others in our friends and family currently suffering from cancer, and to all those around the world who are affected in some way by the disease.

JustGiving is a simple and secure way to make donations to our charity, Macmillan Cancer Care. They take a small percentage off donations to help support their site, which in turn enables them to provide this mechanism for others to collect donations for more causes. Other than this, any money raised here will go towards the charity and will not be used for expedition funds.
