Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I will run the Athens Classic Marathon on the 8th of November 2009, in an attempt to raise funds for the Guillain-Barré Syndrome Support Group.
The date of the Athens Marathon event marks the second anniversary of the day when my father was admitted to hospital and diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome. He was one of the few unlucky patients who did not survive the disease.
In his memory, and also after having personal, first-hand experience of the impact Guillain-Barré Syndrome to the patients as well as their nearest and dearest, I want to support the work of the GBSSG through this activity.
