The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Hey!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Firstly, I need to get this out there - I am more of a runner (and not a good one at that) so getting on my rickety old mountain bike (complete with toddler seat) to ride alongside the carbon fibre kings of the road is probably the biggest challenge I have ever undertaken.

As I crawl across the finish line incoherent and frazzled after 45 miles of torture,  I fully expect I will die from both pain and embarrassment - funnily neither of which were considerations when I signed up to this ride.  I was more motivated by the Prince's Trust and the wonderful opportunities they provide our young people.  Whilst life appears to be getting easier for the kids around us, competition is all the more fierce and the world is a tougher place.  For those that start off on the back foot the future can be bleak and the Prince's Trust is a true life line, door opener and confidence booster that literally turns young lives around.

Not only have I pledged to cycle my heart out (and my butt off - now that would be a nice bonus!) I have put myself forward as a mentor too. Many will know, youth leadership and guidance is very dear to my heart and the more kids we can reach and give a helping hand to, the better.

Please donate whatever you can, as whatever you give will be appreciated more than you will ever know.

Thanks for reading and being a supporter :)
