Story
Every 3.6 seconds someone dies of hunger
And how many more 3.6 seconds will it take for us to snap out of the sleepwalk?
Ramadhan is coming and the month of mercy is upon us insha'Allah.
One of the major comforts we have is the thought of a hot, fresh cooked meal to break your fast with. Rip yourself away from that peace of mind, take yourself to a starving village, hold the gaze of hungry eyes and the burden of desperate hearts.
This is no guilt trip.
This is Ramadhan 'Third World' Style.
Give here any amount you can, donate the daily lunch money you save during Ramadhan.
All the proceeds will go towards a global Iftar programme ensuring a fasting person is given a wholesome and nutritious hot meal each evening. Last year Muslim Hands' Worldwide Iftar Aid Programme reached over 240,000 needy people in 35 of the world's poorest countries.
"When a believer feeds a hungry believer, Allah will feed him from the fruits of Paradise. And when he quenches the thirst of a believer, Allah will make him drink from the pure sealed wine of Paradise."
[Related by Al-Tirmidhi].
And as though we needed further convincing of it's virtues:
"He who provides for the breaking of the fast of another person earns the same merit as the one who was observing fast without diminishing in any way the reward of the latter "
(Related by Al Tirmidhi)
So dig deep, contribute fee sabeelillah and don't look back.
May Allah accept it from us. Ameen
