Story
In July 2008 Reggie, my Dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. Unfortunately, in September 2009 Dad died with his family by his side. During the 14 months he was attending the Ulster Cancer Unit at the Belfast City Hospital he and our family found all the staff at all levels very supportive and dedicated to their work.
Reggie spoke about supporting the unit as it was often obvious that there was a great need for equipment and resources to not only help with patient care but also with the research and development.
To continue fundraising for this cause, I am running a full in the Goldcoast Marathon. It's been a while since I raised funds so I thought this might be a great opportunity! You can help me get over the line by donating some money to The Friends of the Cancer Unit.
If you would like to know more about the unit see their web page:
