BUPA Great North Run 2008 · 5 October 2008 ·

Martin House Children's Hospice provides vital care to help children and young people with a life-limiting condition, along with their families, to live well and fully, offering the best possible end of life care and support to the family in bereavement.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Grace Madison Sinclair was born on September 12th 2006 with a rare condition called holoprocencephaly.

She was terminally ill, severely disabled (both mentally and physically) and could suffer over 250 epileptic fits a day.

Sadly at the beginning of March 2008, and just 17 months old, Grace passed away peacefully at home.

During those magical 17 months Martin House was a very special and important part of our lives. You can read all about the care they offer on their website but what they do not tell you is the unique way they allow you to live as normal a life as possible. Just the knowledge that they were there to support us at ever turn gave us the strength to fill our daughters life with love, laughter and much happiness.

This wonderful place created a lifetime of picture perfect memories to carry us through the loss of our Princess and because of this I felt the need to give them something back.

So myself, my brother (Adrian) and my dad (Bob) are going to be running the Great North Run in memory of our darling "Squidge" in the hope that we can raise both money and awareness for this amazing charity.

Anything you can give - be it 10p or £100.00 - will be very gratefuly received and will make such a difference, so I ask you to please, donate in memory of Grace.

Thank you so much,

Justin
