Story
Hello there!
If you've reached this page it's because you're a thoroughly generous chap or chapette, who is considering donating a little to our worthy cause. Allow us to tell you about what we intend to do to raise money for the charity you see before you - SOS Children's Villages.
The Rickshaw Run can be described quite simply as an incredibly daft adventure. Starting on April 12th, my teammate and I intend to drive an auto-rickshaw or 'tuk tuk' across the whole of India - from Shillong high in the mountains of the North East, to the sandy west coast of Goa. It's a journey of nearly 2000 miles, with an engine of 150cc, providing a top speed of 30mph, sitting on 3 wheels with 2 windows and no doors. Suffice to say, we're both brave, and stupid.
Doubtless we'll have a great time, but the real reason we're doing it is to raise funds for charities who carry out fantastic work in and around India. Have a read of the panel to the left to learn a little about what SOS Children's Villages do.
We're also hoping to raise an equivalent amount for Frank Water Projects, and if you would prefer to learn about and donate to that charity you can do so by visiting here.
That's all from us - thanks for taking the time to read this. If you feel you would like to help us reach our target by donating some money, you can do so via the very page you're looking at now!
