One of our team had bowel cancer last year. He was one of the lucky ones and has made a full recovery. Twenty years ago the outcome would have been very different if it hadn't been for the great strides made in medical research. We want to raise money to help fund more research.
We have decided to take part in the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Bike Ride from London to Cambridge. We are raising money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Bowel and Cancer Research. Please help us to help these great charities.
Nearly 46,000 women and around 300 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK. It is the most commonly diagnosed form of cancer in the UK and more than 1,000 women die every month from it.
The good news is that around 80% of women diagnosed with breast cancer will survive for at least 5 years.
