My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are three lads from the North-West who started a business together last year selling retro football shirts, and now that we are in place, wanted to get involved with charity straight away, as they always say "start as you mean to go on".
With this in mind, we decided to start local, meaning that only the North-West would do. Then we thought long and hard about what we could do. The usual suggestions came to mind, organised 10km runs, the three peaks challenge, but we weren't convinced.
We then thought that doing a pretty long walk might be more of a challenge, but how could we draw attention to this challenge. Then it became obvious, because we are all about football, it must relate to that. So, we decided to visit as many football league grounds in the North-West as possible!
We only have 4 days, and have incorporated the 16 North-West clubs listed below, in order of our route-
Blackpool, Preston North End, Blackburn Rovers, Accrington Stanley, Burnley, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham Athletic, Manchester City, Manchester United, Macclesfield Town, Tranmere Rovers, Liverpool, Everton, Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers
We will cover 180 miles of the North-West in (hopefully) 4 days, starting on the 6th April, and finishing (again, hopefully) on the 9th, finding places to camp or a lodging (if we have any takers?!) along the way!
We are supporting Sport Relief because they do something for all those that need help, both in the UK and abroad, old and young, and that's important.
