Story

InsideJapan Tours are passionate about helping Japan's Tohoku region recover from 2011's devastating tsunami. We're proud to be supporting It's Not Just Mud (INJM) at this time.

INJM began as an informal group of volunteers led by the young Brit, Jamie El-Banna, helping local people in the tsunami devastated port town of Ishinomaki. Today INJM is an efficient, professional non-profit organisation offering grass-root support to aid the rehabilitation of disaster affected individuals and small businesses. Their work involves cleaning homes, repairing buildings and parks, organising community events and of course, digging through not just mud but a whole lot more. The project name refers to how such simple work means so much to the communities they are helping.
