Each year in the UK 350-450 babies die suddenly, unexpectedly and without explanation. The Scottish Cot Death Trust is the only Scottish charity working to find the cause, to support the families affected by this tragedy and to provide breathing monitors for their subsequent babies.

My story

Thank you for visting our fundraising page, which is in memory of our daughter.

Iona Charlotte Campbell was born on the evening of the 3rd of April 2008, she was perfect in everyway, and i know thats what all parents say but she truly was and whats more i'd never seen Joann happier than when she held Iona in her arms.

Unforunatly our beloved daughter was taken from us on the evening of the 6th of April 2008, she was 3 days old. We are both still dealing with our grief and the saying "time is a great healer" couldn't be further from the truth as everyday we've got to deal with questions in our heads that keep repeating themselves over and over to no aval.

The only answer i can come up with is maybe if we can keep raising money in memory of Iona for the Scottish Cot Death Trust, is that some day they will be able to give us some answers. Although this will never change what has happened it might just help others from suffering the same cruel way.

Kenny is doing the London Marathon on the 26th of April 2009 and is hoping to raise as much money for the Scottish Cot Death Trust in memory of our daughter Iona.
