Thanks for the donations guys!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I camped outside the Apple Store in Covent Garden for 10 nights for the release of the new iPhone and connected with so many homeless people who helped me so much!

http://www.iphone5experiment.com

The idea was to rely 100% on sponsors whilst I was there and spend nothing whilst I was in line.

What I didn't expect from my experiment was to connect with so many amazing people who lived on the streets and were homeless.

They really played a huge part in my getting through to the end. I found it amazingly difficult to cope and I had top quality camping gear and food provided. Some of the peeople I met had nothing!

Before embarking on my camp out I was the type of person to not give to the homeless, but its been a huge eye opener to me. It was absolutley freezing at night and if I'm being honest it made me ill. The lack of sleep really got to me. The next time you walk past a homeless person please take a second and think this could be you. Most people are only 3 months pay packets away from life on the streets.

Some of these guys have been sleeping tough for years! These people are amazing and due to a lot of bad luck they have found themselves homeless and in a catch 22 situation.

As I work in pr and have media connections and I'm looking to use my skills to raise awareness for those less fortunate than ourselves.

Every single penny helps and the majority of the items donated through my experiment will be given to shelter who help to re home the homeless.

Thanks for your terrific support.

Please visit www.robshoesmith.blogspot.com where I will be posting regular updates about my involvement in raising funds for the people I was fortunate to become aquinted with during my camp out.

Please contact me at rob@medlmobile.com if you have any ideas on fundraising ideas or if you are from the media who would be interested in reporting about my experience.
