Story
The Ipswich Neonatal unit Team came together on Monday 8th November 2021 for a 13.2 mile Big Hike around Ipswich (which actually became 16 miles!!!) to raise funds for the Neonatal Unit. The support we received was overwhelming.
Our team cares for Premature and Sick Babies born at the Ipswich Hospital, providing outstanding Intensive, High dependency, Special care and Transitional care to hundreds of babies each year. We are a highly professional and passionate team who pride ourselves in the care of babies from birth to discharge, and have a huge emphasis on Family Integrated care.
Having a baby on the Neonatal unit can be very overwhelming for any new parents. The aim of this fundraiser is to support our Neonatal families through their hospital journey, by being able to provide them with extra resources and gifts to ease their experience, encouraging parents to be more involved in the care of their baby and celebrating milestones along the way. Some ways in which we aim to do this are by improving the NNU environment with more 'comforts' to make the unit more homely, providing families with a 'My Neonatal Diary' to document their baby's daily milestones and arts and crafts materials for lots of memory making, plus lots more!
Please support us and donate to this wonderful cause.
With Huge Thanks from The Ipswich Neonatal Team x x x
