** New** - Stop Smoking forum now online at http://www.davidcameronsdiary.co.uk/forum.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page here. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Please do observe the rules regarding tax relief - if you represent a group of people, then tax relief cannot be given unless you are a UK Tax Payer and identify yourself as a sole UK sponsor rather than as part of a group.
For those that don't know me, I am now 46 years old and have smoked since the age of 14. I have tried to give up previously and failed, such is the addictive power of nicotine. I now have two beautiful young girls and want to be able to see them grow up without encouraging them to damage their health as I have done.
So please sponsor me now!
My last cigarette was at 20.00BST on 22nd January 2007; I will understand if you don't want to just donate a sum of money when I could still fail my objective to finally stop smoking; Therefore, if you only wish to donate based upon my ability to stay off the cigarettes and base it upon performance, then please bookmark http://www.davidcameronsdiary.co.uk where I will give ongoing progress reports and links back to here.
It may be particularly hard to understand the difficulties involved in giving up. Although I have no experience, I have heard it said that it is easier to give up Heroin than cigarettes, such are cigarettes ready and legal availability.
So, by now you know that this is not an easy ride and I ask for your support in achieving this. I have tried in the past but never succeeeded with the backdrop of watching a relevant charity benefit from my resolve.
Yes.. I have been an idiot...my only excuse being that the risks of smoking were still not fully recognised when I started smoking, but please don't penalise me for past behaviour. Please recognise that this isn't easy, and visit http://www.davidcameronsdiary.co.uk for updates on my progress and please...please....please donate here at http://www.justgiving.com/Iquit and recognise that for the first 5 days out of my last 32 years (i,e, on;ly the first 5 days in well over over 5 thousand), that I have stayed off of cigarettes and help Cancer Research UK to combat the biggest curse on human heallth today.
Many thanks for your support.
David
