Raising money for Pancreatic Cancer UK

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of any cancer. Pancreatic Cancer UK is determined to make a difference by providing support and information to those affected and by raising awareness and funding research. It provides advocacy for patients and families and lobbying to achieve higher priority for pancreatic cancer.

This page is in honour and loving memory of my inspirational father Isaac Amber. From diagnosis he survived one year during which he enjoyed every moment possible. I am so proud of him.

Pancreatic cancer is the fifth most common cause of cancer death in Europe and the USA, and the 7000 cases which present each year in the UK have a median survival of four to six months and a five year survival of less than 3% (Pancreatic Cancer UK 2007).

I want to raise the maximum amount that I can for Pancreatic Cancer UK to support further research to increase survival rates (http://www.pancreaticcancer.org.uk). Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. If you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
