Flora London Marathon 2006 · 23 April 2006 ·

Our vision is that patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses in our area can choose how and where they want to be cared for towards the end of life. We provide 24/7 responsive Hospice at Home care and support for all the family during the illness and through bereavement.

Story

What a day! Travel to the start problem free, weather, wet and comfortable, the race itself well; I targeted to finish in 3hrs 12m 00s and provisionally clocked 2 secs out, 3hr 12m 02s. Last few miles required a deep dig down, but thats probably linked to fewer long runs but I am really pleased. The support around the course was extraordinary, just when you need it, seems someone is there to shouting encouragment to you

I'm especially pleased since I've almost reached the increased target for sponsorship for the Iain Rennie team. Time for a last call!

If you have sponsored me, my sincere thanks to you. If you haven't yet, please do it now, and please be generous, the Iain Rennie teams will deliver more of their incredible support to patients and families as a result of your support.

Now to put my feet up for a little while!
