Flora London Marathon 2006 · 23 April 2006 ·

Our vision is that patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses in our area can choose how and where they want to be cared for towards the end of life. We provide 24/7 responsive Hospice at Home care and support for all the family during the illness and through bereavement.

Story

In June 2004 my dad, Chris Wallis, died at the age of 48 from a brain tumour.  Without the amazing help of the Iain Rennie nurses he would never have been able to come home and share his last few weeks with us, his family.  For that we will all be eternally grateful.

As my dad was a keen runner himself it seems particularly fitting to set myself the challenge of running the London Marathon.  Having seen first hand the fantastic work the hospice does in making the lives of families so much better in difficult circumstances, it wasn’t difficult to decide to run for such a great cause.

Please, please, please donate as much as you can and help me reach my target of £5,000!!!!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Iain Rennie Hospice At Home will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

I’m happy to do the 26.2 miles for you…all you’ve got to do is put your hand in your pocket.

 Thanks

 Paul
