<p style="margin-bottom: 0in; font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">My name is Max and on the 11th of July I'm embarking on the longest bike travel I've ever completed - and probably the largest section of the Iron Curtain Trail someone of my age has ever accomplished.</span></span></span></p>

<p><em><span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">For almost half a century, Europe was divided into East and West by the "Iron Curtain", a border stretching from the Barents Sea to the Black Sea. The Iron Curtain Trail invites people to retrace and experience the former division of the continent on a 6,800 km cycle track along the length of the former border, combining European culture, history and sustainable tourism.</span></span></em></p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: 17px;"><em><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: 15px; font-style: normal;">I'm going to complete almost 2,000km between the town of Lübeck, in northern Germany, to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.</span></span></em></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="color: #ff0000;"><span style="color: #000000;">I chose to support Friends of the Earth not only because I already had strong connections with them through working with them in the past, but also because they defend ecological sustainability, and, after all, cycling is a crucial aspect of this.</span></span></span></p>
