Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, and a massive thank you to everybody who has sponsored me. The Ironman turned out to be extremely tough, with the marathon at the end being the hardest part, especially the last three miles, I just about managed to walk it! I was hoping to complete in between 13-14 hours, but I managed to finish in 12:37:59, even if Max did have to help me across the line! The grand total I raised for charity was £4447.46, which meant I was the top fundraiser at the event and as a thank you, was awarded with a new bike by the race director and charity organiser. Not only did I have to spend a lot of time and money training and preparing for the race, I had to rely a lot on my wife Charlottes support and patience. Without this, I would not have been able to complete this life changing challenge. Thank you darling. Every single time I went out training, I imagined Max crossing the finish line with me, which he did in fine style. Thank you for that moment, it made the whole experience worthwhile.
