Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with blood cancer. Founded in 1974, by growing our register of stem cell donors, conducting research and supporting patients, Anthony Nolan cures blood cancer and blood disorders. But we need to do more. Without you, there is no cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to sponsor me.

On Sunday 13 May, I am going to complete the Stratford 2012 Triathlon, and want to raise money to donate to a charity called Anthony Nolan. Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with blood cancer. Every day, they match donors willing to donate their blood stem cells to people who desperately need lifesaving transplants.

Why not have a look at their website to find out more about what they do, or even better sign up to the register - http://www.anthonynolan.org/.

Part of the reason I wanted to do this is because the Aston Villa captain Stan Petrov was recently diagnosed with leukemia. Petrov’s diagnos has sadly highlighted that someone in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer like leukaemia every 20 minutes, and for many of these people, a stem cell transplant is their last chance of survival.

Get well soon Stan!

The triathlon consists of a 400 metre Swim, 23 km Cycle and a 5 km Run. For people that know me well, you will know I have the knees of a 90 year old, so please dig deep.
