Who said I was a Chicken???
STOP PRESS AGAIN - The jump has been postponed once again due to the weather, the jump will now take place on Sunday 27th Aug. Will I ever get to jump?
STOP PRESS - DUE TO HIGH WINDS THE JUMP HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL SATURDAY 19TH AUGUST
On 12 August 2006 I shall be completing a 10,000 ft freefall parachute jump in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. The jump will be a tandem ‘skydive’, which means I will be strapped to a professional skydiver, thank God!
However, this jump is an immense challenge for me because for the last 7 years I have suffered with Multiple Sclerosis, to the point that I am now a semi-professional wheelchair user.
The MS Society has really made a difference to my life and my local branch in particular. I attend a weekly ‘drop-in’ centre run by the Cwmbran & District branch which enables me to meet with other suffers, have a chat and share experiences. The centre has really turned my life around and once again I am optimistic about the future.
It’s now my chance to give something back to the Society for all the help and support it gives Britain's 85,000 MS sufferers.
Please, please sponsor me and help spur me on to the challenge of a lifetime.
Thank you so much
Ian Williams
PS. I have a friend who actually thought I was doing the jump in my wheelchair, hilarious!!!
