The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Hellooo and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I finally managed to get a ballot place in the London Marathon after 6th consecutive years of applying and not only does this mean I am currently getting myself ready to tackle the distance but that I also have the opportunity to raise funds for a charity of my choice.

The Little Princess Trust is a charity that was set up in memory of Hannah Tarplee who attended the junior school at Hereford Cathedral School and died of cancer in 2005. Her parents started the charity with the assistance of my school to provide real hair wigs to children suffering from cancer and other similar illnesses where hair loss can be an additional traumatic event for children who are already suffering so much.

I feel that making a contribution to such a local and thoroughly deserving charity will make the challenge of running the marathon all that more worthwhile!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you in advance for any donation you can spare.

Cheers

Isla
