Story
Hi all,
Donations are still coming in! The trip was a roaring success with all ascents made! It was tough - but we managed it.
As you can see - the total is still rising - a large thanks to everyone who has supported us and Cancer Research UK!

Thanks to everyone who came to the Bella Italia leaving party! We raised nearly 400 pounds !
On October 20th Scott Bushell and Darren Nolan will board a plane headed to Kathmandu. From here they will start a 17-day trek to Everest Base Camp and beyond to the iced mountain of Island Peak.
After walking through the Himalayas for roughly 8 or 9 days we will stop at Everest Base Camp in Nepal to acclimatise at an altitude of 5,360 metres (17,590 ft) for the journey ahead of them.
A further 3 or 4 days of temperatures reaching -15 degrees celsius + and suffering from lack of oxygen due to the thin atmosphere, we will be looking up at Island Peak ready to attempt the summit. After several hours of climbing the ice peak they will be standing 6,189 meters (20,035 ft) above sea level.
This impressive adventure is being undertaken to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Both of us have experience of close family members and friends who have either lived with the illness or who have sadly lost their battles. We are asking for you to donate as much money as you can to help us to try and save more people from experiencing this devastating illness.
All of the money donated goes to the Cancer Research UK cause. We are funding the costs of the event ourselves.
If you are not keen on online donations, please contact us on scott.bushell@skbpm.com for details how you can donate offline.
Support us with encouragement too - we need it as training is tough! See our blog, facebook page and twitter for the latest training news, photos and stories!
