Most of you know someone who has suffered or is suffering from cancer.
Lots of you know why it's a cause so close to my heart.
Some of you know I like raising money for charity. (Remember the Rich Chocolate Ball? And all the others?)
A few of you know I can be a little sporty (but let's be clear about how much of a challenge this will be, I'm no 2012 entrant).
A couple of you know
I have a thing for shoes. (More like a substance abuse issue.)
But all of you know
I'm a little crazy.
So, adding all this together means it makes complete sense that
I am going to try and climb the UK's 3 highest peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike & Snowdon) inside 24hrs this July.
"What have shoes got to do with it?" I hear you ask.
This ain't no ordinary 3 peaks challenge -
I'm going to wear a different pair of Manolo Blahniks at the top of each peak (for photographic purposes only I'm afraid - no climbing in them).
Who wants to see that then?

Yeah yeah, I know people have been hitting you up for marathon donations - but this is way more original (and I can't remember the last time I asked for sponsorship and yet I've paid out so much).
Anyway, Instead of giving your money to one of the big cancer charities that everyone has heard of (and whom already benefit from much fundraising and grants) you'll be donating to a charity that is a great and unlikely source of strength for so many women.
Look Good, Feel Better is a charity that helps women cope with the visual effects of cancer treatment. They teach them how to use make up to replace eyelashes/eyebrows, how to tie scarves and choose wigs, and generally help them to feel feminine when every single thing the doctors are using (albeit to fix them) is doing the opposite.
This may sound like small beans but one of the worst things about cancer treatment is not being able to keep it to yourself. Everyone knows; from the seats given to you on the tube to the staring in the street. How you look (and how you feel about how you look) becomes more and more important as the side effects of chemotherapy kick in.
