This is a 230km ultramarathon event over 6 days in the Sahara Desert, Morocco. I have chosen to raise money in support of The Alzheimer's Society, a cause which is very close to me and my family. Although the event itself is some time away, my training has already started in earnest and as part of the process I will be competing in the following major events amongst others : 'Neolithic Marathon' - 4th May - 26.2 miles cross country (COMPLETED! 4h 53min) 'Tough Guy' - 29th July - distance doesn't really come in to it!!! 'Devil o'the Highlands' 9th August - 43 miles cross country 'Long Mynd Hike' - 4th October - 50 miles cross country 'Round Rotherham 50' - 13th December 2008 - 50 miles cross country 'Thames Meander' - February 2009 - 54 miles So whilst I have the pleasure of pitting myself against these events, you have the opportunity to sponsor me for all these AND the MdS in one go!
