In Memory of Dr Ivor Sweigler 1941 -  2011

 

Ivor, Chairman of PSC Support UK, dedicated his time tirelessly to raising awareness of PSC in the UK and worldwide.

 

He forged links around the world and made great friendships in America, strengthening the link between PSC Support UK and PSC Partners Seeking a Cure in America.  

 

Ivor spent many hours researching and writing up detailed articles for PSC Support UK's newsletter, PSC News, keeping readers around the world up-to-date on the latest PSC research and news. He singlehandedly wrote and edited PSC News for a number of years. 

 

Very much a people person, Ivor reached out and gave support to many PSCers, families and friends just when they needed it most. He spent hours on the phone supporting PSCers through difficult and uncertain times. Many of us are eternally grateful for his unwavering support and positive attitude. 

 

He did all this despite suffering from PSC and other illnesses himself, always maintaining his sense of humour. He was truly an inspiration to us all and made a lasting impact on all who met him. He will be sadly missed by all, but never forgotten.
