Five on a bike ride to Edinburgh! · 26 May 2015

We're here to bridge the gap between needing Mental Health support due to a devastating Duchenne diagnosis and accessing the NHS services families facing Duchenne need. Therapy empowers families to navigate the complexities of DMD with a greater sense of understanding and emotional well-being.

Story

As a Teaching Assistant at Mitchell's school when I heard of his diagnosis I was understandably shocked and decided that as I had set myself my first cycling challenge (in the past I have completed 5 marathons for which I have raised money for charity)  I thought I would like to raise money for 'musclesformitchell' in order to raise awareness of this debilitating disease and support the charity Harrison's fund.

You can read Mitchell's story by clicking on  'Team Muscles4Mitchell' below.

Myself and four others -  'five go on a bike ride' - are completing the 'coast and castles' 200 mile bike ride from Newcastle to Edinburgh at the end of May over 4 days. Then, after arriving in Edinburgh myself and John (my husband) will be completing (hopefully!) the Edinburgh 10k - part of the Edinburgh Marathon Festival.  Please, please support 'five go on a bike ride' and make a donation to this worthwhile charity.
