I lost my mum to alzheimers disease after she was diagnosed at the age of 51.. we watched her deteriorate and become unrecognisable as mini strokes that went unnoticed caused the early onset of dementia.

Exactly 10 years later she died. 

Lindsay lost her dad 3 years ago after having alzheimers for a short time.. watching him being so full of life with his dancing and independance to not even being able to write his own name and also being unrecognisable to all who loved him.. 

Lindsay and I are trekking 26 miles on 2nd sept to raise awareness and as much money as possible to hopefully find a cure for this heart breaking disease.
