When we arrived to the Benson in 2004, Jack welcomed us as our Head of House. He was always there for us whether it was staying up with us on the first night talking or supporting us on the sidelines of a rugby pitch. He was an exemplary figure around the college especially through music and hockey; and did Benson proud.

He was a keen runner, especially marathons in which he gained thousands of pounds for various charities; in particular the Variety Club Children's Charity. We therefore decided that in the Benson we would run the Salisbury Half Marathon in memory of our legendary head of house

We've just finished the run and all managed to finish! (special congratulations goes to Oliver Fowler for doing it under 1h50m and being the youngest runner!).
