Hello, thanks for visiting my site, all you need to do now is donate! Jack and I have, perhaps foolishly, decided to climb Kilimanjaro which at 5,895 m is the tallest freestanding mountain in the world. To put its size into perspective it's nearly as high as an aeroplanes cruising altitude! And it's all for NSPCC!

This page is for donations towards my half of the money raised, Jack also has his own page at www.justgiving.com/kilimanjacko. Dont worry, unless you're feeling hugely generous we don't expect donations to both, it's just easier for NSPCC to keep track of the donations this way :)

This climb will be a very new experience for both of us in many respects; neither of us are used to hiking (especially for 11 days solid!), neither of us are used to sleeping in tents for long periods of time and neither of us have ever done any charity fund-raising on this kind of level before. Jack has never left Europe so that will be an experience in itself.

Although this climb will be an incredible experience for both of us we are not doing it merely for the fun of it or the memories. We are doing it to raise money for the NSPCC who are constantly in need of money to save, and improve, the lives of abused and neglected children.
Every day children die because they have not been cared for properly. They may be in abusive households or in homes where the parents have problems with drugs, along with so many other dangerous situations. Unfortunately it's not uncommon for children to be killed by their parents, and shockingly children under the age of one face 4 x the average risk of child homicide. These children die before they even get the chance to live.

Answers a child's call for help on ChildLine.

£25
Enables a trained practitioner to deliver one hour of support through the NSPCC Helpline, to protect some of the most vulnerable children in society such as babies or toddlers who cannot call for themselves.

Pays for a child who may have nowhere else to turn to receive confidential, one to one counselling through ChildLine, about an issue which is important to them.

£50
Pays for an hour of direct one to one support for a vulnerable child and their family. This includes the time it takes to prepare and write up the session.
