Story

Chicago Marathon run for The House of Hope - Bethlehem

Hi Folks,

I am running the Chicago Marathon on 12 October to raise money for a  children's charity,  located in Bethlehem on the Hebron Road, in the West Bank.

House of Hope looks after blind, physically and mentally handicapped children from all sectors of the local community.  It also runs a small workshop for ex -pupils and blind adults making floor brushes.

You will know from the media that things are very difficult in the West Bank and particularily in Bethlehem with the recent construction of the Security Wall. This has had a major impact on the local economy making it even harder for people to get by.

I visited the House of Hope in April and was really moved by the caring and loving approach of the staff who dedicate themselves to providing for the children. They are a real beacon of hope and I would like to support them. So please sponsor me if you can.

Many thanks

Jack

Note: All my costs for the Marathon have been covered,  so everything that you sponsor me for will go directly to the House of Hope. Echoes of Service,  a UK Registered Charity will be collecting the funds on behalf of the House of Hope.
