I would like to thank everyone that has donated thus far to this amazing cause. Thanks to your generosity, in September 2009, myself along with 9 other members of a team from Leeds Met travelled to Peru and built a community soup kitchen.
It was extremely hard work but we made such a difference to the community. We literally built the kitchen from nothing, even digging trenches for foundations. After 4 weeks of hard efforts, we managed to get the roof on and the building was almost complete. The money we raised (£10,000) paid for all the materials and for expert guidance from some local labourers.
Project Peru supports a variety of similar projects and is always looking to raise funds to continue developing and helping the Peruvian people.
In September 2010 I am going back to Peru to carry out another building project, building a centre for children in the community with disabilities. It would be amazing if you could give to this amazing cause, and thanks so much if you're donating again!!! Its amazing and it means everything to me!
