<p><span style="color: #ff0000;">Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #ff0000;">We wanted to do this for our amazing Husband, Dad and Grandad. Over the last five years he has battled through two different types of cancer. He put himself through a traumatic operation which removed a GIST, part of his stomach, his spleen, gallbladder and half his pancreas, followed by a 3 month stay in hospital. He was then left with an empyema on his left side which took approximately 8 months to heal needing twice daily dressings. He then endured a new chemo treatment for his leukaemia that had side effects that often made him feel he'd had enough...but he never gave up. Throughout it all he battled on for his family. He never complained about why he'd got the cancers..Why NOT me was his reply. He has supported us all through various things in our lives not least of all our Mum. She has been disabled for many years and Dad has been her main carer. He really has been the true patriarch of our family and a major inspiration to us all. </span></p> <p><span style="color: #ff0000;">Dad sadly passed away on May 1st 2012 exactly 3 years after his major op. He was an avid supporter of Leukaemia and Sarcoma UK so this is for you Pops. Hope we all do you proud.
