Hello. My name is Jacob and, along with my twin sister Maisie, I was born over ten weeks early at the Royal Oldham Hospital. Maisie was very poorly and sadly passed away not long after she was born. I spent the next two months in hospital being looked after and cared for by the neonatal staff who have done a brilliant job in making me better.
As a thank you, my Daddy is going to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats this summer to raise money to buy medical equipment for the new purpose-built £44m women and children’s facility that is being built at the hospital.
The new facilities will include:
• A new neonatal intensive care unit for the smallest and most vulnerable babies
• New delivery rooms and maternity beds
• Obstetric theatres and a paediatric theatre
• Refurbishment of existing wards and departments
I would be so grateful if you can please sponsor my Daddy so that the hospital can afford to carry on giving the fantastic care to other babies and families in our position.
