Most people nowadays know someone who either beat cancer or lost their battle with it.
I was with my Mum in hospital on 30th November 2008 when she was told she had Leukaemia (blood cancer). I remember that appointment like it was yesterday and it is still as painful today. Little did we know cancer would take her from me and my brothers, and the grandchildren she loved so much only 3 traumatic and surreal weeks later on 23rd December.
I would like to live in a world where no-one has to experience the awfulness that we went through in those three weeks. I would like a cure to cancer to be found.
I'm joining Cancer Research UK's Race for Life again this year. Please join the fight by sponsoring me - it's quick, easy and totally secure. Any donation is gratefully received.
Thank You. Jacqui.
