I am running in this marathon for 2 lovely ladies.

In memory of my amazing mum who we sadly lost too early to cancer back in 2006, she was a tough cookie and fought it for 3 years. It was very tough to stand by and feel so helpless, but I know she will be very proud in me running this event to help other familys in the future.

I will also be thinking of a very close family friend who is currently fighting this nasty disease and one of the strongest ladies i know.

If you know me, you will know how much of an impact this had on my life and I want to do everything in my will to help find a cure and support the charity.

This will be my biggest challenge yet getting my little legs around a 26.2 mile course, so please show your support and help cancer research scientists get closer to finding a cure. Giving as little as £2 could fund something as big as a new research centre or as small as glass slides to analyse cancer cells.
