My story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our Justgiving page.
Last year we made it to Switzerland in 30 hours by hitch-hiking 10 cars, a ferry and bunking trains to raise over £800 for British Heart Foundation, and previously raised over £600 for Cancer Research by escaping our way to Amsterdam, which we are hoping to improve on this year!
Our challenge is to leave uni at 10am on Saturday 3rd March and get as far away as possible by 10pm on Sunday 4th March (giving us 36 hours). We can't spend a penny of our own money, as if we've just broken out of jail and so have to blag our way onto trains, planes and cars, finding a way across the world!
All of the money we raise is going to Save The Children. Every year, more than 8 million children die before their fifth birthday around the world from illnesses we know how to prevent. Save The Children aren't waiting for miracle cures and already know what it takes to help these children, but just need more support to fund the aid. The groundbreaking charity is working flat out to tackle issues such as malnutrition, health, HIV, climate change, natural diasaster and many more to help give each child the brighter future they deserve.
Please support us in this adventure by giving any amount that you can spare. Donations are sent directly to Save The Children and Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. You could either sponsor a fixed amount or an amount per 5 miles or so with a fixed maximum.
Please dig deep and sponsor us for this challenging event and help keep us going when we're cold and sleeping rough somewhere in the world...
