Please help me raise as much money as possible to support Marie Curie Cancer Care.  I am taking part in the 5 mile Devoted to Life Walk on Saturday 25th April at Belvoir Park Forest, Belfast.

As many of you know my lovely mummy sadly passed away last November with lung & liver cancer.  She needed the help & support of the Marie Curie nurses during the last few nights.  The nurses were amazing and they do such a great job not only for the patient but also for the family.

My mummy fundraised for Marie Curie Cancer Care in the North Belfast area for many years, we think around 35 years. During this time she raised over £30,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

I have helped out at the Tesco stores collection in January and I have also started volunteering in a Marie Curie Cancer Care shop in Belfast.   I want to support Marie Curie Cancer Care in any way I can, as my mummy had done for so long, to continue on not only in her memory but also ‘giving something back’ for the invaluable support we received from Marie Curie Cancer Care when my mummy was terminally ill. 

£20 pays for a Marie Curie Nurse for one hour in a patient's home, £160 pays for a full shift for a Marie Curie Nurse in a patient's home.  Every penny helps towards supporting this very deserving charity.
