Through this weird and wacky hockey world, I have been lucky enough to meet some amazing people in Cardiff and beyond, and through my own hometown team the Belfast Giants I have made friendships throughout the U.K. 

Away from the EIHL, in my own voluntary work as a future teacher I have been honoured to meet some awesome young people from all backgrounds including those who have been dealt a set of cards far from favourable.

Matching my love of ice hockey with philanthropy, I'm delighted to be able to help raise some money for Ty Hafan - a charity providing paediatric palliative care throughout Wales. Offering free care to life limited young people and their families, this awesome charity deserves our support and so I ask you to help me raise some much needed funds for this life changing charity. 

I will keep you up to date with my fundraising campaign and my visits with Ty Hafan and (hopefully) my encounters with these amazing families. Who knows, I may even score a goal or two, but I'll settle with standing up straight and moving forward on skates.....
