Macaroni Wood is a magical place and a refuge for children and young people to escape the pressure of modern society. Our heartfelt belief is that children should be allowed to be children. That’s why we founded the Centre, giving children the time and freedom to be themselves. Thank you

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

When it was suggested that I walk across the Sinai Desert (no truck or motor-bike this time) I thought: "well if Moses did it with the Children of Israel, it must be a doddle without the kids." It also seemed to be an ideal opportunity to raise some money for my two favourite charities: Macaroni Wood and The Archway Motor Project.

I am paying all the costs myself so all donations go straight to the charities.

I have been involved with both these charities for many years and the positive impact they have on young people is very impressive. However they are 'small' charities which are often overlooked in the general round of charitable support. I would recommend them both as very worthy causes and know that all the money they raise is spent responsibly.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
