Virgin London Marathon 2011 · 17 April 2011 ·

Every day of the year, your local air ambulance (Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland) is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day. We receive no government funding for our daily missions. Your support keeps us flying.

Story

You will all know my commitment to Pre-hospital Emergency Care

The Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland air ambulance is there to scrpe you off the road, crag, or path depending on your pursuit of choice across the peaks and East Midlands.

Air Ambulances are funded through charitable donations (they are too expensive to be run by the NHS) so please dig deep and help keep this valuable service in the air.

The Marathon is going to be tough (I may do triathlon but don't run this far) so help make my pain count.
