Story

Please support Macmillan by sponsoring me running the London Marathon this year.

Macmillan are a charity close to my heart. You may or may not know that my Grandad was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer which then spread to his bones causing him agonising pain, he subsequently passed away 2 years ago in a hospice.

Without the support of Macmillan, my family would have struggled to understand what he was going through, what to expect in his final days or have had access to Macmillan grants.

Not only did they support us as a family, they ensured he had the best care to manage his symptoms. Although cancer can be painful, we believed he was comfortable and pain free as his death approached.

Statistically, 1 in 3 of us will experience cancer in one way or another. I am eternally grateful for the support  Macmillan provided during this harrrowing time. One day you may experience Macmillans helping hand, please help me to help them be there for everyone as they are charity run.

I have set this page up so that you may donate as much or as little as you would like.

Thankyou for reading, and look out for me running the marathon on the telly, I will be wearing a green vest with the Macmillan logo

James :-)
