A bit about James, or Jamie or Jamma as many knew him.

 

Jamie loved life and he lived it to the full. He could take pleasure from the simple things, a sunset cruise on the river, the waves crashing on the shore or a chat with close friends or family.

 

He had a positive outlook on life, nothing fazed him and he always saw the best in people. 

 

James had made Thames Ditton his home, he loved it here, the people, the river (and the Pubs!),  and this Just Giving page has been set up in the place of flowers or donations so that we might contribute to restoring our village church roof, something which is time critical and desperately needed, he would have been pleased about this cause.

 

James was taken from us too soon, he can't be replaced but we will think about, love and miss him every day.

From St Nicholas Church

 

We have all been very moved by the very many generous gifts to             St Nicholas’ church in memory of James Williams.

 

It says an enormous amount about the affection and regard in which so many people held him. St Nicholas’ church and all it represents has clearly been important to James and his family. We are deeply grateful for the support we receive from the local community and their friends, and we trust that using these gifts to care for this special building will be a fitting way to remember James.
